Where is your chapter house located?
We are at 918 Kimberly Dr. DeKalb IL.
What makes your organization different?
Delta Upsilon International Fraternity distinguishes itself from other fraternities as the first non-secret, non-hazing fraternity since it was founded as “The Social Fraternity” at Williams College on November 4, 1834. Historically, we have accepted all men based on their merit and nothing else. This means that race, religion, economic status, sexuality, and any other traits have played no role in recruiting new members. We seek to further our organizations with men who will carry themselves as gentlemen by living by our four founding principles: the advancement of justice, the promotion of friendship, the diffusion of liberal culture, and the development of character.
What does it mean to be non-secret or non-hazing?
Being a non-secret organization simply means that we are able to share all aspects, including the rituals and the associate membership education, of our Fraternity with anyone that wishes to learn about them. By being non-secret, we open ourselves for public scrutiny so that we may be judged by the standards of everyone, rather than only our own.
Non-hazing means that we will never put you in a situation where you feel uncomfortable, are in any sort of danger, or where you feel pressured to do something. This has been our stance since our founding, and we take it very seriously.
